Kroll has released wood gasification hydronic heaters, or wood gasification boilers. Our KK wood boilers are clean burning and highly efficient therefore reducing smoke, ash and soot, and cleaning. Accordingly hydronic heating systems like the KK Series help to reduce dryness in closed environments and are highly comfortable as well as environmentally sustainable.

The wood gasification boilers series is over 90% efficient tested to meet the EN303 class 5 specification and standard compliance. EN 303-5 Class 5 is the highest certification tier for solid fuel and biomass heating boilers under European Standards. Boilers certified to meet Class 5 represent the pinnacle of biomass heating technology, offering the maximum thermal efficiency with the lowest possible environmental impact, of course the KK Series is fully Australian AS/NZS 3100:2022 compliant.

KK Series Components

The KK series wood gasification boilers are ideal for people with plenty of timber who do not want to constantly fill the fire chamber during the day or night. Usually available are 30 kW and 40 kW units that suit most domestic applications, however bigger units are also available on request. The KK is the full wood gasification system which includes the VG or Ventum Series wood gasification boiler, a thermal storage tank or tanks, wood safety & charging valve, with the VG boiler being the heart of the KK system.

A gasification boiler converts wood or charcoal into wood gas, which consists of carbon monoxide, hydrogen, carbon dioxide and traces of methane.

GASIFICATION BOILERS

The KK wood gasification boilers are designed to be installed in an outbuilding or utility room. They have large wood fire chambers to assist in easily filling for the batch burn to heat your house and domestic hot water.
